"What do I wear for my in-home newborn session?" A common question asked by many clients to their photographers. Every photographer handles this question differently. Some recommend you just wear what you're comfortable in, and leave it at that. However, I have found a more specific answer serves my clients well. So what is that answer?

Season-specific neutrals in comfortable, flattering silhouettes. Take this newborn session in Buffalo, NY for example; my clients opted for jeans for a cozy-lived in look that felt like them. Mom paired her jeans with a cozy off-white sweater that is flattering, comfortable and timeless, but slightly elevated. She put baby in a neutral white sleeper with a white bow; a recipe for success (always have an extra on hand when baby inevitably spits up on outfit #1!) Dad in a comfortable, neutral quarter zip and toddler in a cozy mauve dress. The color palette not only meshes perfectly with their home, but goes well for the time of year the session took place- November.

All my clients receive style guidance when booking their sessions, so you never have to question if what you're picking out will work well or not. I'm there with you every step of the way!
